Recommended Air Spring System for 2002 Ford F-250
Question:
Will air lift bag helper springs work for a 2002 f250 super duty with a wrecker for towing? Or will I still need to add more support for towing?

The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57390 referenced in your question are confirmed to fit your 2002 Ford F-250 and they will do a great job of reducing the strain on the truck's factory suspension. The springs feature a load-leveling capacity of up to 5,000 pounds so they are up to the task for your wrecker application. In addition to their maximum capacity the air bags can also be adjusted to account for lighter loads when you aren't towing so that you will always have a level and comfortable ride.
You might also be interested in adding a compressor system like the Air Lift # AL25651. This will allow you to monitor and adjust the ir spring pressure as needed from inside the cab.
I do recommend making sure that your factory suspension is in good working order and that you aren't exceeding the base capacity of your F-250, as any aftermarket enhancement like these helper springs will not actually increase your weight-carrying capacity. You will still be limited to the capacity on your truck as listed in your copy of the owner's manual.
I have attached an installation video for these springs on a later model year F-250 that you can use for reference.
