How Much Should Travel Trailer Tires be Inflated if it has 2 Different Load Ranges
Question:
Ive now had two blowouts on my travel trailer. Both on the rear axle and one on each side. I found a tire place with my size in the town near where we were on the freeway smart phones are amazing to us old guys. I didnt realize until later that it was a load range E instead of a D like the other 3. I think the guy just wanted to sell me the more expensive tire. Anyway I now have load range E on the rear axle and load range D on the front like Mike L. said to do at the very least. Now should I inflate them to the max pressure? 80 on the E and 65 on the D? Trailer GVW is 9500#. Thanks!

The trailer tires, all of them, will need to be inflated to the maximum psi indicated on the tires. If the shop reused the same valve stems though it could be too much psi and you would need to also replace the valve stems if the new tires start leaking air.
Ideally you would want all the tires on the trailer to be the same size, load range, and construction type. Otherwise it can affect tracking and you will have uneven wear since the ply ratings are different among different load ranges. But if you must have different load ranges then they should be inflated to the max psi.
