The online owner's manual for the 2014 Honda CR-V indicates on page 235 the following procedure to prepare this vehicle for flat towing behind a motorhome:
1. Check the transmission fluid level. Make sure the fluid level is between the upper and lower marks.
2. Start the engine.
3. Depress the brake pedal. Move the shift lever through all its positions.
4. Shift to D and hold for five seconds, then to N. Let the engine run for three minutes, then turn it off.
5. Release the parking brake.
6. Leave the ignition switch in ACCESSORY. Make sure the steering wheel does not lock.
7. Turn off all the electric devices. Do not use any accessory power sockets. This can prevent the battery from running down.
Honda also states that the car should not be towed faster than 65 mph and that the transmission fluid should be changed every 2 years or every 30K miles.
I recommend checking your printed manual in case it differs from the online version.
If you need any flat towing components please let me know and I will be glad to offer recommendations.
