Swagman Trailhead Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Replacement Snapper Pin

Question:

I have a swagman trailhead 3 that I bought from etrailer back in May. One of the pins that is removable to allow the rack to fold down first lost its retainer cable, and then was latter lost. I was wondering if this would fit in plact of that pin. Thanks,

I spoke with my contact at Swagman. He stated that the pin used on the Trailhead 3 Bike Rack, # S63365, is a 1/2 inch diameter pin. The Wire Lock Pin, # 2471, that you have referenced is a 1/2 diameter pin. The 3-1/2 inch length is plenty long enough to fit the Swagman rack, so you can use it as a replacement. To verify, just measure from the outside of the hole where the pin goes to the outside of the opposite hole. The distance should be less than 3-1/2 inches.
