Recommendation For a 2 Bike Rack on 1993 Ford Explorer That Can Be Easily Attached and Removed

I have a bumper mounted 1 7/8 inch ball on my 1993 Ford Explorer. Im looking for an economical carrier which will carry both bikes, and be easily attached and removed. Any suggestions?

The bike rack that will be the quickest and easiest to install and remove would be the Thule Gateway 2 Bike Trunk Mount Carrier, part # TH88VR. This is one of the easiest bike racks to put on and take off of a vehicle. It uses a FitDial system with Quick-Fit levers. This rack is also very light weight at 13 pounds.

If you are going to be carrying womens or childrens bikes that do not have the horizontal bar at the top of the frame, you will want to use the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, part # TH982XT. It attaches to the center seat post and to the handlebar post and provides a horizontal bar, so the bike can ride level on the bike rack.
