Jayco Jay Flight 26BHS Axle Capacity
Question:
Jayco Jay Flight 26BHS - The frame has 5,000lb stamped in the a-frame, but the axle diameter appears to be 2.5 and the diameter of the brake drum is 10 with 6 lugs. That number may just be for the tongue. The sticker on the trailer was painted over by the previous owner. That does not seem to jive. Looking to replace the electric brakes with a kit and want to make sure I am getting the correct ones. Guessing they are 3,500lb axles. Thanks!

I took a look at the specs for the Jayco Jay Flight 26BHS and based on that and the photo you sent in (thank you for that) it does have two 3,500 lb axles.
Since you have a 10 inch drum the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA, which is for 3,500 lb axles, will work so long as you also have a 4-bolt mounting flange. These brakes are 10" diameter x 2-1/4" wide so also be sure your drum has that width and you'll be set.
The only other thing you will need is the Mounting Hardware for 10" Brake Assemblies # BRKH10B.
