Picking Out Quieter Exhaust for 2.5 inch Diameter Exhaust Pipes

Question:

Im working with a 1972 Chevrolet C10 383 Stroker motor ,short tube headers, dual exhaust, cross pipe, walker quiet flow mufflers, and 2.5inch exhaust pipe continuing out to rear of the truck. This is the third set of mufflers in my persuit of a quieter exhaust. The walker muffler is labeled as oem part consisting of baffles with some type of packing. I would like to know of options to cancell the low end drone and bring the exhaust levels down. I have heard some people have had some luck with resonators. Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks,

Chambered mufflers are the quieter than through-style mufflers like it sounds like you have. For a dual core muffler that is chambered and matches the 2.5 inch diameter pipes you have you'd want the # MF13746. This is also a longer muffler too which also adds to it being quieter. It's 27 inches in length.
