Recommendation for Dual Receiver Adapter with Higher Rise
Question:
I need a dual receiver capable of towing my pop up and a clamp on bike rack. The ones Im finding dont have enough rise to clear my truck bumper when the upper tow bar is dropped. Do you have anything with a higher clearance?

The Malone Dual Hitch Extender # MPG544 referenced in your question offers the largest rise to the top receiver of any dual hitch adapters that we have available. There is a distance of 7-1/2 inches from the bottom receiver to the top receiver. Also keep in mind that this particular unit does have a longer shank which provides a distance of 12 inches from center of hitch pin hole to center of hitch pin hole. This may be enough length so that it clears the rear bumper on your truck altogether, negating the need for the extra rise. You can take a quick measurement from the hitch pin hole on your existing trailer hitch to see how far out the rear bumper extends.
Also please note that using this or any other similar adapter will reduce the overall weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50 percent. You will need to make sure that the combined weights of both your camper and loaded bike rack do not exceed the reduced ratings of your hitch.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this adapter that you can check out. I also recommend adding a locking hitch pin like our etrailer.com lock # e98880 to help secure your investments.
