Solution for Reducing Sway with 2001 Fleetwood Expedition 36 Motorhome
Question:
Hey Guys, Got a used RV recently, the thing porpoises and sways more than any actual boat I have been in! I believe its an XCS Freightliner chassis with leafs front and rear and no airbags, solid front axle. Im probably getting some Koni shocks. Anything else you recommend? Someone recommended a Supersteer Motion control thing but wasnt too specific. Would greatly appreciate any advice!

Based on my research it does indeed look like your 2001 Fleetwood Expedition 36 is built on the Freightliner XCS chassis. To greatly reduce the sway you're experiencing (which isn't too uncommon) I highly recommend adding the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1209-115. This is confirmed to fit this chassis and it will do a great job of improving the stability and driveability of your RV to help put those white knuckle driving moments behind you. It will attach to the rear axle and chassis and use the weight of the axle to brace the frame as it shifts during turns.
I have attached the complete written installation instructions that you can also check out.
