Weight Distribution System for a Horse Trailer
Question:
Why are these type of hitches more popular for horse trailers then the hitched with sway control? Seem there would be more beneficial having the hitch with sway control. Is there any disadvantage of din them for horse trailer? Is the ride more bumpy, noisy for the horses?

I am not sure I know what you mean as I have never heard of the Reese Weight Distribution System part # RP66540 being better for a horse trailer. I would however agree that a weight distribution system with sway control has more benefits than a weight distribution without sway control.
For a great weight distribution system with sway control, I recommend taking a look at the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System like part # FA92-00-1000. These systems are excellent options as they have two point integrated sway control and come with a ten year warranty. As long as your trailer frame is no more than 6" tall then the Fastway e2 is a great option for you. There won't be an unnecessary bumping when using this sytsem so your horse(s) will be comfortable. If the system is maintained and greased properly then there also won't be much noise issues either but some is to be expected.
If you can let me know the total tongue weight of your towing setup which is the loaded ready to tow tongue weight of the trailer plus any cargo stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle, I would be happy to make sure you get the correct system but if not I have attached a list of our options for you.
