Should Winch Strap Replacement be Same Width as Current Strap
Question:
I have a boat trailer with no winch strap. Do I measure the width or the drum or can the strap be narrower than the drum?

You'd want to replace the strap with the correct width that the jack takes. For example, the Fulton part # FWS20HD0200 fits a 2 inch wide drum which is by far the most popular. Most likely this is what you have and this would be what you need. I attached a page that has all of the winch strap replacements we offer as well.
