Will Custom Sidewinder Wedge Installation with Screws or Bolts Change the Ease of Connection?
Question:
I see that the you are using screws and not bolts for the pro serie 16k, also will this make it easier to unhitch the unit

Expert Reply:
The Sidewinder Wedge Kit for Pro Series 15K, 16K & 20K (2009 and newer) # 30850 can use either screws or bolts to attach the wedge. These bolts or screws simply hold the wedge in place and won't change the ease of connecting or disconnecting the pin box to/from the hitch. The funnel on the hitch and the movement of the hitch head is what will impact the ease of connection. The wedge and hitch head will be a precise fit so it will hold the Sidewinder tight when engaged for best function.
