Troubleshooting Slide-Out that Slides In But Not Out  

Question:

Was wondering if it could be my solenoid not opening or closing properly as I stated my slide were going out and in as I was running my slide out it got hung up on some carpet and I had to have my wife running in and out in and out several times to get the carpet out of the way thats when it quit working was wondering if I shorted out my solenoid

Most likely you are correct that the solenoid on your slide-out has gone bad. Since the slide-out is able to move in one direction, we know that the motor is good along with the mechanical linkage components.

The only replacement solenoid we have available is the Lippert # LC118246. This polarity reversing solenoid is primarily used on hydraulic slide-out units.
