Should Lube Plate of Fifth Wheel Hitch be Removed From Trailer When Stored

I’m new to towing and I am wondering if I should remove the lube plate from my kingpin when my fifth wheel is in storage When trailer is not in use or during winter. Thanks

There's no reason you HAVE to remove the lube plate like the part # RP83001 when you store the trailer but if you wanted to there would be no reason you couldn't.

Installation of the Reese Fifth Wheel Lube Plate #83002, is accoplished by just pushing the disc onto the trailer king pin. The serrations in the disc allow it to flex and form a friction fit against the pin box around the base of the king pin.
