Recommended Tire Chains for 255/35/20 Tires on 2013 Audi A6

Question:

I recently replaced my summer performance tires with Goodyear Eagle Sport M+S al-season tires 255/35/20. Being in California, I at a minimum, need to carry chains for the front wheels. My Audi owners manual states I should use chain links no thicker than 0.4 inches, including the lock. Any suggestions for what I should buy and carry, and probably not ever install? Thanks

I checked out the owner's manual for your 2013 Audi A6 and it does mention chains not be thicker than 0.4 inches though it also mentions only using chains on "certain tire sizes" so I recommend making a quick call to your local Audi dealer just to ensure your 255/35/20 tires will be able to use chains.

If so I recommend checking out the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains # TC1142 which fit your tires and are just 0.21 inches thick.
