Can LED Bulbs be Used instead of Incandescent Bulbs in RV Light Fixtures
Question:
The factory installed 12v wall lights per attached pic in my 2003 Fleetwood Excursion 40foot diesel pusher coach all run on 12v DC battery obviously when Im not plugged into shore power. But, when Im plugged into shore power AC I am not really sure if they continue to run from the battery or if the system converts inverter maybe affects this? to 120v to use the shore power supply. Either way, do you feel will this light should work correctly in my 2003 type of coach? Secondly, is there an LED light or receptacle to convert it to an LED versus incandescent ? Thank you in advance for your help

Lights wired directly into the RV wiring like the ones in your Fleetwood Excursion run off of 12 volt power that has been inverted from the shore power hookup via the transfer switch and its associated equipment. You could use light # 277-000250 with an LED bulb if you wanted to. This light uses a 1076 bulb so for an LED version you could use # DI95VR.
