Hitch Extender Recommendation for 2000 Ford F-250 with 1,000 lb Tongue Weight
Question:
I have a 2000 f250 short bed . Like many others have purchased a 8 ft slide in camper but also have a pull along I would like to take along sometimes when Im camping . The camper is not large with gear and water between 4500 and 5000 lbs . But the design of this camper gives it a heavy tongue wieght when water tank is full almost 1000 lbs . Figure I need a class v hitch and of course extender whats my best setup ?

For that much tongue weight there's really only one way to use a hitch extender on your 2000 Ford F-250 short bed. For that you'd want the Torklift Super hitch part # TLF1002 with a Super Truss hitch extender part # TLE1524 with a weight distribution system like part # RP66542.
