From the research I did on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 it looks like you have a towing capacity of between 5,500 and 9,400 lbs depending on how it's equipped. You can check with your local Chevy dealer with your VIN to know for certain what you have.

Since you have a short bed truck you'll need a slider hitch to allow you to make tight turns. Slider hitches move back when you are in parking lot situations so that the nose of the trailer does not hit the cab of the truck.

A popular slider hitch is the Reese hitch part # RP30051 which has a 16k capacity and is mounted on a square tube slider. For a rail kit the Reese part # RP50064-58 is the way to go as it is a custom install kit that will minimize drilling and install time when compared to a universal kit.

Another great option for a hitch that I really like is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550034. Unlike manual slide hitches this one automatically slides as you make tight turns so that you'd never have to get out of your truck to activate it. This fits the Reese rail kit I mentioned earlier too.
