There are a few different ways for determining the weight rating of the axle on your Jayco fifth-wheel trailer. If you have the trailer with you, the quickest method will be to simply crawl under the trailer and check for an information tag on the axle itself. The tag/plate is typically found near the center of the axle and will list the axle's weight capacity. You can take a look at the attached photo for an example.

If you cannot locate an identification tag/plate on the axle, then you can also take a quick measurement of its diameter which will usually indicate its capacity. The typical weight ratings based on axle size are as follows:

Round, 1-3/4 inch diameter = 2,000 pound axle
Round, 2-3/8 inch diameter = 3,500 pound axle
Round, 3 inches in diameter = 4,400 - 7,000 pound axle

Lastly, if the trailer is off-site, you can also try calling Jayco directly with your VIN and they should be able to provide you with this information (assuming you still have the factory/OEM axle on the trailer). This is also what you will want to do if you can't find the axle tag and measured a diameter of 3 inches since there is a range of possible capacities for this size.
