Does Trailer Battery Need to use Battery Charger
Question:
Does plugging into 110 v charge the trailer battery or do I need a charger?

Expert Reply:
You will need to use a battery charger such as the CTEK MULTI US 7002 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger w/ Pulse Maintenance and Backup Power # CTEK56353.
The reason for this is chargers have the ability not just to charge the battery but also protect it from things like overcharging, which can cause too much heat and potentially a fire. The charger, for example, has a pulse-maintenance system so when your battery is fully charged it will simply maintain the charge instead of continuing to charge the battery.
