Troubleshooting Sway After Replacing Shank of Weight Distribution System
Question:
I traded tks and ordered longer shank, RP63971 for a travel trailer. After installing, took it on road at 50 to 60 mph. Noticed truck driffs from side to side. Only using bars and not stablizer bar. Could it be the tension of chains?

After swapping weight distribution shanks you are now noticing more sway than before? Was the trailer not level when you setup the WD system initially with the old shank? If this is the case you'd want to reset up the system and go from there.
