Recommended 16K B&W 5th Wheel Hitch for Sidewinder Pin Box
Question:
I have a Sidewinder pinbox installed and Im currently using a Curt A16 hitch. That said, it seems to be a sloppy connection. Im using the correct wedge but it works loose allowing the sidewinder to move side to side enough to make cornering challenging. Im looking for a better better hitch for a more positive connection.

If you are using the Sidewinder Wedge Kit for Curt E-16K Fifth Wheel Hitch # 30861 you asked from, that is not the correct wedge for your Curt A16 hitch. You would instead want the Sidewinder Wedge for Curt A Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # C16992.
If you aren't a fan of the Curt A16 hitch and are looking to upgrade, I recommend using the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs # BWRVK3200 along with the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels # SWW-06. This is a superior hitch with the custom fit wedge to keep your Sidewinder functioning.
