P3 Brake Controller Works Fine on One Trailer But Only Works with Manual Override on Another Trailer
Question:
I have tekonsha p3 which works perfectly on 1 trailer but only with override lever on the other so i know my tekonsha works what should i check for on the trailer that only works on manual

The output of your P3 brake controller # 90195 would not change from one trailer to the next so the issue must be with the other trailer. It is possible that you will need to adjust the output more aggressively and/or set the boost level higher to accommodate the other trailer. This is especially true if the other trailer is heavier. To avoid having to keep changing settings for the trailers you can save the settings for each and switch between those saved settings.
I also recommend making sure the vehicle and trailer side connectors are clean and free of corrosion inside, where the wires attach, and outside on the pins. Also inspect the wiring to the magnets and repair any pinched or damaged wires.
