Should Equal-i-zer Spring Bars be Greased
Question:
Should one grease the bars on the hitch to reduce wear or does that reduce the anti sway properties by reducing friction too much?
asked by: Jim
Expert Reply:
No you are not going to want to put grease directly on the spring bars (or the brackets) of the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET.
That said, you can use the Equal-i-zer High-Performance Lubricant # EQ91-00-4250 in other areas of your system in order to help reduce wear and lessen the noise that may occur from the steel-on-steel friction; this lubricant can be put on the system's hitch ball as well as its spring-bar sockets and hitch head.
