2,000 lb Axle Leaf Spring Recommendation for Trailer that has 26-1/4 inch Long Springs

Question:

I have a escort boat trailer and needed a replacement spring and this one is the only one that matched the style and dimensions of the one I have currently. However the weight capacity is way to high for what I need. Can I take out a leaf perhaps the small upper one to soften the ride. My boat only weights around 1600 lbs

Since trailer leaf springs tend to stretch over time the key to picking out the correct replacement is to go with one slightly shorter than what your current one measures. So a 26 inch long spring would most likely be what you need. For a 2,000 lb axle leaf spring that measures 26 inches in length we have the # e77SR which will fit and work well.

I have an old boat trailer (don't know the brand name) and I need 2 x 26" slip leaf springs. Do you carry those? I can only find a 30" and that will not work. The brackets are welded on the the frame and can not be moved any further apart. I would cut them off, but the frame does not extend any further.

We do have a small selection of 2" wide slipper springs that are close to that 26" length - I've linked them all below. None of the springs are exactly 26" long, though. Can you tell me what the axle capacity is?
