I will be glad to help you out with wiring up your trailer. To start, I will mention the electric brake wiring. There are 2 wires on the brake assemblies coming from the magnets. One will be ground and should be connected to a bare metal surface on the trailer frame, near the magnet. If the ground is too far away, it may not work properly. The other wire will connect to the blue wire on harness # H20042. This will provide the power to the brakes.

The White wire is the ground and it does attach to a clean metal surface on the trailer frame. On this harness, the red wire is for left turn and brakes. It will go to the driver side tail light. The brown wire will be for the right turn and brake lights on the passenger side.

The green wire on the harness is for the running lights. You will need to route it back to one of the tail lights and then attach a jumper wire from the green wire to the other tail light. To reduce the amount of wire needed, you can T-off from the green wire further back.

The black wire provides 12 volt power to the trailer. If the trailer has a battery or electrical accessories that need 12 volt power, they would connect to this wire. If the trailer does not have any of these, you can tape it up with electrical tape and stow it out of the way.

The last wire, yellow, is for reverse lights or as another 12 volt accessory circuit. If the trailer does not have reverse lights or does not need another 12 volt circuit, it, too, can be taped up and stowed out of the way.

The wiring colors that were already on the trailer probably will not match up with the wiring colors on the harness. You will have to trace the trailer wires carefully to make sure you know what each one does. You can also use the chart on the product page for # H20042 that shows the functions and colors of the harness.
