Can Trailer Tire Size 235/80R16 be Replaced with 235/85R16  

Question:

We have a ATC TRAILER 26FT. STACKER WITH 3 AXLES THE TIRES ON IT NOW IS 235/80 R16 I LIKE TO PUT 235/85R16 THEY SHOULD FIT?

Going from the 235/80R16 trailer tire size to the 235/85R16 size is normally not an issue at all since the sizes are very similar. The difference between the sizes is the larger size has a taller diameter by .7 of an inch. Which when considering fender clearance you'd have .35 of an inch less than you currently do since tire diameter is split between the axle center.

The Karrier ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10501 that you referenced would be a great option. It has a weight capacity of 3,960 lbs at 110 psi and a speed rating of 81 mph.
