Can the Stromberg Carlson Electric Jack Part # JET-3555 be Ran to the Vehicle's Battery
Question:
Can you wire this to the battery in your vehicle or do you have to have a seperate battery on the trailer ? I tried running a 10 gauge wire from the vehicle battery and it went work. The light does but thats it.

The length of wire needed to attach the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack part # JET-3555 to your vehicle's battery is more than likely causing a substantial loss in power which is why the jack will not work. I recommend installing a 12 volt auxiliary battery on the trailer and use that to power the jack. You can then use the 12 volt power on the trailer connector (7-way only) to provide a maintenance charge for the battery used for the jack.
I have attached a review video for you.
