What Crossbar Dimensions/Spread Does Car Top Cargo Rooftop Cargo Box
Question:
I have an 18 GMC Acadia with factory cross bars. The cross bars are not flat/even all the way across.the bar ends are ed into the support ends I have an older Sears sport 20 that doesnt fit well due to the design of the cross bars and the location of the mounting holes. I am looking for a large cargo box that will fit better and hopefully sit on the bars in between the end supports so it is secured evenly. Could you please tell me the distance between the mounting holes from side to side and the width of flat part of the bottom? Thanks

The Car Top Cargo Roof Box part # CTC-18S can fit crossbars that are up to 3-3/4" wide x 1-3/16" tall and is designed to fit a crossbar spread of 22 inches, but the spread can be increased to 31 inches if you are okay with drilling holes.
Most roof rack crossbars have a bow to them like you mentioned having. This box is designed to accomodate this. You can see that in the picture I attached that shows the box installed on a bowed crossbar.
