Can Roadmaster Even Brake Braking System Be Used on 2014 Subaru Forester

Question:

Does my 2014 Subaru Forester standard shift have a continuous power braking system. I am interested in putting the Evenbrake 9400 power assist braking system on it. Thanks

I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2014 Subaru Forester and it doesn't look like it is equipped with the active power assist braking system. With that being said, I highly recommend verifying this information by checking your copy of the owner's manual or by visiting a local Subaru dealer with your VIN. It's possible that you have a slightly different model Forester.

If this is correct, then the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400 that you referenced can be used and will work great. This unit will physically press down on the brake pedal in your Forester at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to it in your RV.

If you find that your Forester does actually have the power assist braking system then I instead recommend the Blue Ox Patriot Braking System # BLU37TR. This features a similar design to the Even Brake but it is compatible with vehicles that have the active power assist braking system.
