Base Plates Needed to Tow a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado with a StowMaster Tow Bar

Question:

I just purchased xr2 Colorado 2018. I already have RM 501 tow bar. Is there a RM base plate available for that? If not and I need to buy the Blue Ox, can I adapt my RM 501 to it? If so what do I need, what is cost and where do I go to order? Thanks,

I am guessing that you meant you have a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 as opposed to XR2. To tow your ZR2 with your StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501 you will simply need the Base Plate Kit # RM-523182-4. I have attached an installation video for you to check out as well.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
