Which Bearing Buddy Fits 5,200 lb Dexter Axle

Question:

I have a Dexter 5200lbs axle, spindle: Type 42 with an inner journal dimension of 1 3/4inch and an outer journal dimension of 1 1/4. Not sure if I have a tru ryde or dexter brake, but the hub is a 6x5.5 brake hub. Is the 2441 size correct. How hard ist it to get the Buddy on if it is not threaded as the cheap dust cap was PITA.

For your Dexter 5,200 lb hub the Bearing Buddy part # BB2441SS is the correct fit. Installing it is pretty easy. Using a flat board and a mallet you'd lightly hammer it into place.
