Hatch Mounted Bike Rack for a 2015 Porsche Macan that Won't Put Stress on Spoiler

Back top of Macan is a plastic spoiler. I currently have a different trunk mount rack from a prior vehicle and when I tried it on, the clips that would go over and connect to the rear top plastic spoiler fit but the plastic spoiler itself did not seem suited to handle the stress that would be created by a fully loaded rack, particularly moving fast down a sometimes bumpy road. Am I going to run into the same concerns with this rack? If so, is there a trunk mount rack that works without making me concerned that the plastic spoiler will be cracked or broken from the rack and bike load?

While the Yakima HangOut # Y02637 can be installed on a 2015 Porsche Macan the upper straps will still rest on the spoiler at the top of the rear hatch so it will put stress on it. What I recommend is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack # HRF2. This rack has an additional upper arm piece to move the top straps up and over the spoiler so no stress is put on it.

There is more than one way this rack can be installed. You will not have to have a roof rack to use it though many of our videos show this method. Even though this rack has not been tested on a Porsche Macan it has been tested and confirmed on the Audi Q5 which is the cousin to the Macan; kind of like how a Chevy Silverado and a GMC Sierra are essentially the same truck.
