How to Use Yakima LoadWarrior Cargo Basket On Ford Ranger Camper Shell

Question:

Is there a way to mount this basket to a fiberglass camper shell on a Ford Ranger? Note: I don’t have any rails, it is a smooth surface and I don’t mind drilling holes into the camper shell. Ideally I would like it elevated a small distance above the shell instead of flush mount.

The Yakima LoadWarrior Cargo Basket # Y07070 that you referenced is designed to mount to roof rack crossbars. In order to use this basket on the camper shell for your Ford Ranger, I recommend installing the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System # Y02-490B. This system is designed specifically for camper shells like what you have and will provide you with an adjustable roof rack that will let you easily mount the LoadWarrior and other accessories or cargo. It features RTC-style tracks that will mount to the roof (some drilling is required) which will allow you to slide the crossbars along the length of the camper shell.
