Is it necessary to remove the board cover Bic sport cover to securely transport a SUP using the Thule dock grip?

Yes, you'd need to remove all covers when transporting a kayak or SUP with the Thule DockGrip Kayak # TH895. The wind would whip the cover quite a bit while travelling which might damage the board.
