For vehicles that require the battery be disconnected from the vehicle the solution for powering supplemental braking like the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR is to use the outlet kit part # RM-9332. This wires directly to the vehicle battery so that when your vehicle is disconnected from it the Patriot can still get power.
