Will Contact Between Coil Spring and Air Lift Air Bag Cause Damage
Question:
The bag looks like it would rub on the coil spring. Worried about failure after a period of time ? 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 is what I will be installing on. I’m very Experience with the air ride I have had several cars completely slammed. Number one rule is no bag contact .

When an air bag like what comes with the Air Lift kit part # AL60798 is installed in a coil spring you are going to see at least some contact and rubbing between it and the spring. There's no way to avoid that since the coil is what holds the spring in position. In general though these kits last a very long time and are not typically known for failure over time due to contact. They have a lifetime warranty as well.
