The best way to charge the battery on your 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor while using a portable braking system is with a charge line kit which consist of the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-156-25 and the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motor Homes part # RM-156-75.

The charge line kit will allow the vehicle's battery to stay charged while in tow even with power being drawn for the Patriot II. It provides a link from the motorhome's battery to the toad's battery and can be attached to one another using the 6/7-way trailer connector on the motorhome/toad.

This a very popular method to ensure that the toad's battery stays charged and is used on many vehicles like this. I have attached installation videos to show how each kit is installed.
