Troubleshooting Right Turn/Brake Lights Not Working on 2006 Silverado 7-Way
Question:
On my 06 Silverado 1500 on the truck side on my 7 pin plug the right side turn signal is not working.. No fuse not blown in fuse box under the hood. I checked with test light and no power.. I bought a adapter for the 4wire flat plug. It has test lights on the plug.. Everything works but right side turn signal dont . On the truck it works just thru the plug it is the problem.

By testing the 7-Way on your Silverado you have at least ruled out the trailer wiring as a potential issue and can focus all your attention on the truck. You did say that you already checked this, but I do recommend verifying that the fuses and relays for the trailer right turn/brake lights are present and in good condition under the hood as well as the fuse block on the driver's side edge of the instrument panel. The specific fuse locations will be listed in your owner's manual.
If all the fuses look good, your next step is to simply try and trace the wiring going back from the 7-Way for the right turn/brake light circuit. You can use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test this wire just behind the 7-Way to see if you get power there with this function activated. If you do, then the connector itself is bad and just needs to be replaced. Otherwise you will just want to inspect the wiring for any damaged or exposed portions that are in need of repair/replacement.
If you still cannot find and resolve the issue, please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
