Crossbars And Carriers for Carrying 2 Kayaks on a 2011 Subaru Forrester Roof Rack

I have a 2011 Subaru Forester with a factory front to back rack. I am looking to purchase the crossbars. Ive looked at the flat Aero bars that Subaru sells and wondered if my two kayaks and Thule carriers would be compatible on that type of bar. I have one J type and one straight type.

Our fit guide shows that the Thule Complete Crossroad Kit, # TH45050, is recommended for your 2011 Subaru Forrester and that the rack is capable of carrying 1 to 2 kayaks, depending on the size and weight of the kayaks and the type of carriers used.

If you are using the Hull-A-Port J-Style Kayak Carrier, # TH834, you may need to get another J-Style carrier, or a get a Multi-Kayak Carrier like the Stacker, # TH830, to fit both of your kayaks on the roof of the Forrester.

The weight capacity for the Thule cross bars on your vehicle is 165 lbs, so you should not exceed that weight limit and you will need to measure to determine if you can carry your specific kayaks on the factory bars you mentioned, or on the Thule system I have mentioned here.
