Will Thule ProRide Roof Bike Rack Fit Factory Crossbars on VW Jetta

Question:

I currently have the Volkswagen base carrier system and eventually want to switch over to a full Thule system. In the meantime, I need to add one more bike rack to my current system, and I wanted to see if the Thule ProRide can fit to the VW base carrier bars, or if there is an adapter kit needed? if so what is needed? Thanks!

The Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack # TH598004 referenced in your question is designed to fit most factory crossbars, including the VW Base Carrier Bars on your 2012 VW Jetta. The bike rack will work well with the factory bars on your vehicle without the use of an adapter.

The ProRide is an excellent wheel-mount carrier that will let you secure 1 bike of up to 44 pounds.
