Formula to Determine Turning Clerance With Sliding Hitch on 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500

Question:

I have a 2015 Chevy 2500hd duramax with a bandw gooseneck hitch. Will I be able to tow my fifth wheel camper without any issues hitting box or cab because its a shortbox truck?

If you have the sliding B&W Companion # BWRVK3400-5W mounted to the B&W Turnoverball # BWRVK3400-5W on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD there is a formula you will need to use to determine if you will have the necessary clearance to make a 90 degree turn so your trailer won't hit the cab.

(A + B) - C = Clearance

A = Distance from center of 5th-wheel hitch jaw to truck cab in inches
B = Offset used (slider clearance, which in this case is 12" front to back)
C = Width of trailer in inches divided by 2
