I'd be happy to help, but can you tell me what size the bed is on your 2011 Dodge Ram 1500?

For any truck that has a bed less than 6' such as the 5'7" bed on your 2011 Dodge Ram 1500, the only way you can use a fifth wheel hitch is with a Sidewinder; a sliding hitch will not give you the amount of clearance you need. To find the correct Sidewinder, what you will need to know is the manufacturer and model number of the pin box on your fifth wheel and match that with the correct replacement. For example, Sidewinder # RP34FR will replace Fabex 663 and 665, Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD, as well as M&M 663 and 665 pin boxes. If you let me know the manufacturer and model number of your pin box I can find the correct Sidewinder for you. I have also added a link to a help article on Sidewinders for you to check out. Additionally, the fifth wheel hitch you have must be compatible with a Sidewinder. I recommend the Reese # RP30047, which has a 16,000 lb capacity and double jaw locking system to ensure optimal contact with the king pin. To mount this hitch I recommend the Custom Installation Kit with Base Rails # RP50142-58, which is a custom fit for your Ram and will not require driling into your truck's frame to install.
