Best Brake Controller for a 2018 GMC Terrain

Question:

Hi there, I recently bought a GMC Terrain 2018 with the towing kit install at the factory, it has the 7 pins connector at the rear. I need to install an electric brake as Im towing a camping trailer. Coming with the towing kit, they supposedly installed all the wiring in the vehicule up to the steering wheel, so I only need to plug the electric brake ? I cant seem to find the connector under the seering wheel ? And no one can answer me on this, maybe because its a newer model ? thanks

I do have a no wire brake controller option for you but your 2018 GMC Terrain does not have a plug in adapter port for a brake controller so most of the traditional brake controllers will require splicing. The best option we have for you that will not require any splicing is the Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180.

This controller installs on the trailer and uses your phone to set up so there will be no need to splice any wires on your new Terrain.
