Trailer Hitch for Pop-Up Camper to Carry Bike Rack

I am looking to add a hitch to the back of my 2006 forest river Flagstaff 228d pop up camper so I can tow bikes. The bumper is not 4 inch square it is 1x3 c shaped. Is there a hitch I can use?

There may be a trailer hitch you can use on your 2006 Forest River Flagstaff 228d but you would need to mount it to your trailer's frame.

The Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13703 will fit box frames, C-channel frames, or I-beam frames that are between 22" and 72" wide, so if your '06 Forest River has that this hitch will work for you.

Also please keep in mind that your bike rack does need to be rated for use behind a trailer. For this I recommend checking out the Swagman Trailhead # S63381, which is rated for use behind a camper, has a 35 lb per bike weight capacity and is 9-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright bar. To protect your investments I also recommend using the Anti-Rattle Lock # S64027 to secure the bike to your hitch.
