On the 2015 Ram the connection is next to the license plate and not underneath the truck how did you install

If you want to install the Reese RAM Lighted hitch cover # RP86531 and its 16-inch-long 4-pole wiring harness is not quite long enough to reach your truck wiring you can simply use an extension. We have 4-pole extensions in many lengths, such as the 12-inch # HM48148, 24-inch # HM47004 and 48-inch # HM47114. We also have a 10-foot extension # HM48235 but this one does not have the special Hopkins Easy-Pull connectors found on the other extensions listed.
