The Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH963PRO, will fit the 2005 Honda CR-V as long as the rear mounted spare tire is the original factory sized tire from the manufacturer.

If you have added a larger aftermarket spare tire and wheel on your vehicle you will need to measure from the back of the wheel where it rests against the spare tire mount to the farthest out part of the spare tire. If the measurement is 5-1/4 inches or less then the carrier will work on your CR-V.

If you are going to be carrying womens or childrens bikes that do not have the horizontal bar at the top of the frame, you will want to use the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, part # TH982XT. It attaches to the center seat post and to the handlebar post and provides a horizontal bar, so the bike can ride level on the bike rack.
