Wire Functions of RV Bunk Light Adapter with Jack # RVC100 and Functions of 1/4 Inch Mating Plug

Question:

What part of the Jack is the white cable attached. I am trying to figure what part of the bunk light 1/4 plug is lead and what part is ground. Is the tip the ground and the barrel the lead? Need to wire a new plug on the bunk fan cord.

On the RV Bunk Light Adapter with Jack # RVC100 the white wire is ground and the black wire connects to a 12 volt power source. On the plug the power is at the tip and the base is the ground. In your picture there is a spade terminal about where your thumb is. That is where the power wire connects.
