Are Hatch Huggers Needed to Install Saris Porter Trunk Rack on 2016 Hyundai Veloster
Question:
Is it true that the Hatch Huggers are needed for installing the Saris Bike Porter 2 on a Hyundai Veloster? IF so, I wish someone would have alerted me to this when I purchased the bike rack from etrailer. Sounds like I still have an extra part to buy now?

We checked with Saris and the Hatch Huggers part # SA3035 are required when attaching the Saris Porter 2 bike rack # SA312B to your 2016 Hyundai Veloster. We try to make tech tips like this easy to see and find but we can certainly understand how it would be possible to miss that requirement. I attached a picture that shows where we list that requirement. This picture came from the fitguide page for the trunk racks for the 2016 Veloster.
It's hard to put flags in our system in place for this as not every vehicle needs this adapter and it's not always possible to know what vehicle you have and are intending to use the rack with.
