Truck Bed Bike Rack for 2013 Ford F-150

Question:

Kyle again THANKS..I mentioned we had a short bed in our truck on the first email..but I should have added more imformation to that Sorry! I should have included that our bikes are 6 and half feet long and the bed is only 5 and a half.A friend mentioned getting a rack for back tires and putting a blanket on tailgate and hanging the front wheel and fork over tailgate.Does E trailer sell any items that would work for that? Thank Kyle..Good day to you

An E-bike is not meant to be used with a fork-mounted bike rack. There may be a way for you to fit them in your truck bed though if you let me know what year your F-150 is.

No problem at all, and yes, we do have something that will work for you even better than just a blanket. The Softride Shuttle Pad Tailgate Pad and Bike Carrier # SR26457 is, as the name suggests, a pad that goes over the tailgate of your F-150 will let you put the front wheels of your bikes over your F-150's tailgate and uses cradles to keep them secure to the pad. The pad is secured to your tailgate by straps and has vinyl lining to protect the tailgate from any damage. You will not need any type of rack in the bed of your F-150 at all, the Shuttle Pad # SR26457 will keep the bikes firmly in place.

Thanks for the kind words and we do have options for you to carry your Pedego Interceptor E-bikes in the bed of your 2013 Ford F-150. Depending on how much your Pedego Interceptors weighs, a good option is the Thule Insta-Gater Pro # TH93VR, which is a single-bike rack, so you would need one for each of your bikes. It has a 50 lb weight capacity and holds bikes that have wheels which are between 20" - 29" with tires up to 3" wide. The Insta-Gater Pro is held in place at your F-150's tailgate so you do not need to cut your bedliner, if you have one. You can lock your bikes to the rack with the Thule One-Key System cable.
